The first preparatory regrouping for the U-17 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations of Volleyball closed yesterday in Yaounde and Bagangte.
Gathered around their supervisors in each pole, the nearly 30 players in training worked for three days on the technical fundamentals, the handling of the ball and the block-defense-attack system alone, two and three. This internship also allowed to see the real level of the players likely to constitute the backbone of the selection to validly defend the colors of the nation during the African Cup of Nations scheduled for next August.
According to the program made public by the technical staff, during the second grouping scheduled from February 29 to March 1, emphasis will be placed on service and reception. Note that the first day of the Camtel Open will take place this weekend at the University of Yaoundé II Soa. This activity will mark the official launch of the 2020 season of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation.
