Back from the locker room, the Elephants are overmotivated and make their home in the Lioness camp. In the 47th minute, they are rewarded on a game of billiards. After several consecutive attempts on goalkeeper Bawou and the Cameroonian defense, the ball finally finds the frame by Jessica Aby which allows Cote d’Ivoire to equalize. At this moment of the match, the Elephants are qualified thanks to this away goal.
At the 51st minute, Ajara gets closer to the frame but her ball is stopped by Cynthia Djohore who collapses into the box. For a long time, Cote d’Ivoire think to hold their qualification.
However, in the 82nd minute, Aboudi Onguene left on the right, crosses the Ivorian surface before being tackled irregularly by a defender. The referee points to the penalty spot and it is Ajara Njoya who transforms it in the 84th minute. Cameroon will manage its lead until the final whistle.
