Unless there is an earthquake on January 7 in Hurghada, Cameroon will be able to bring back the trophies for best African player of the year, best national female team and best coach of a female selection at the CAF Awards.
CAF announced last Sunday the Top 3 of all categories of the awards ceremony. For the African Player of the Year, Ajara Nchout Njoya (CMR), Asisat Oshoala (NGA) and Thembi Kgatlana (RSA) are the final contenders for the title.
As for the best coaches of a national women’s team, Alain Djeumfa remains in the fray along with Desiree Ellis (RSA), winner of the last edition, and Thomas Dennerby (NGA).
Finally for the women’s teams, the top 3 is made up of Cameroon, Nigeria and South Africa.
