Referees are introduced to the Badminton Confederation Africa certification at the occasion of Badminton International Games scheduled for 14-17 November 2019 in Yaounde.
The activity, which concerns about twenty technical officials, is led by the Belgian Albert Roge Von Horenbeeck, Judge Referee certified by the World Badminton Federation.
The training continues on Monday according to the program below:
9 am – 2 pm Learners will be reminded of the appropriate rules and vocabulary
2 pm – 5 pm Recommendations and advices to technical officials
This upgrading of local Technical Officials to the Badminton Confederation Africa (BCA) certification opened since Sunday at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex ends on Tuesday November 12, 2018.
In addition, about thirty sports journalists received the teachings of the deputy DTN of Fecabad, Andre Ngong, within the framework of the traditional Media work-shop organized by the Cameroonian Federation of Badminton.
Among other modules mentioned during this training session, we can mention:
– The presentation of the simplified rules of badminton.
– The organization of a badminton competition (general and security).
– Specific vocabulary of badminton.
Regarding the arrival of the first foreign delegations,
Referee BWF Satiawan Mahodoo of Mauritian nationality, appointed to supervise the competition, arrived in Cameroon this Sunday.
The majority of foreign delegations are announced for Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 November.
On the sidelines of the Cameroon Internationals, the Badminton Confederation Africa (BCA) will hold the works of its board of directors in Yaoundé on Wednesday 13 November. Which works will be chaired by Seychelles’ Michel Bau, President of the BCA.
